12.18.2019 | 7:00 PM | OCEANSIDE – A K9 officer helped apprehend two suspects who refused to exit a motorhome that was reported stolen, Wednesday night.
Officers were alerted to an automated license plate reader (ALPR) hit on a reportedly stolen motorhome in Carlsbad around 7:00 PM.
A short time later officers found the motorhome parked in the 3400 block of Marron Road in Oceanside.
Authorities surrounded the motorhome and ordered any occupants of the vehicle to exit but nobody from the vehicle responded.
An armored vehicle and a police K9 responded to the scene and entered the motorhome where they found a male and a female hiding.
The K9 officer helped apprehend the suspects without incident.
The female suspect suffered minor injuries during a scuffle with the K9 officer and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
