Oak Fire Continues To Explode For Second Straight Night | Mariposa
07.04.2022 | 12:30 AM | MARIPOSA | For the second straight night the Oak Fire continues to show extreme fire behavior. Throughout the day, firefighters were faced with the massive challenges of triple digit heat and single digit humidities. Fire behavior continues to be erratic, unpredictable and unbeatable throughout the day and night. The fire made a massive push into Sierra National forest today as a running crown fire, bulldozing through Jersey Dale, and even jumping Jersey Dale road. The USFS fire station is under immediate threat due to the fire surrounding the entire area and continue to crown and run through the dense timber of the forest. The area from Triangle Road & Jersey Dale Road were absolutely leveled from the south and east, and all that is left are thousands of burning snags that continue to fall and impact the road and driving conditions. Footage shoes the fire surrounding the fire station as CalFire, USFS and other adjoining agencies stage at the compound and prepare to make a stand. The most current update on size is listed at 12,200 acres. For licensing, contact info@onscene.tv Follow our other platforms!
