Norwalk: Rottweiler Mauls 2-Year-Old & Father In Broad Daylight

03.30.2019 | 1:25 PM | NORWALK – A two-year-old and its father were mauled by a rottweiler, Saturday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a dog that had attacked a two-year-old toddler and its father outside a home in the 12000 block of Zeus Avenue around 1:25 PM.

Units arriving on scene found the toddler along with its father suffering from bite wounds.

Firefighter paramedics treated both victims on scene before transporting them to Long Beach Memorial Hospital.

The dog was haphazardly secured to a tree and deputies stood watch while animal control officials responded to take the dog into custody.

An investigation regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.
