Norwalk: Off-Duty Deputy Injured After Rollover Hit & Run Crash

07.20.2019 | 1:46 AM | NORWALK – An off-duty deputy was injured after a hit-and-run driver causer her vehicle to rollover, Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a rollover traffic collision near the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Imperial Highway around 1:46 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a single vehicle on its roof with a female still inside.

Crews quickly removed the female driver who was later discovered to be an off-duty Los Angeles County Sheriff deputy assigned to Norwalk and transported her to UCI Medical Center in stable condition.

Initial reports indicate a red truck struck the deputy causing her vehicle to overturn before fleeing the scene.

An investigation and search for the hit-and-run driver is ongoing.
