Norwalk: Drive-By Shooting Leaves Man Hospitalized On Christmas Day

12.25.2018 | 10:40 AM | NORWALK – A man was hospitalized after an apparent drive-by shooting on Christmas Day.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in the 11400 block of Mapledale Street around 10:40 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a male down on the porch of a residence.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to St. Francis Hospital in unknown condition.

Witnesses reported seeing a white Ford ranger with tinted windows flee the scene after hearing a number of shots ring out.

Police are on scene canvassing the area for shell casing and searching for surveillance footage.
