Norwalk: Cerritos College Placed On Lockdown After Bomb Threat

09.03.2019 | 11:53 AM | NORWALK – A man was taken into custody after walking into a college classroom and claiming to be a terrorist armed with a bomb, Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a bomb threat on the Cerritos College campus located in the 11000 block of Alondra Boulevard around 11:53 AM.

Units arriving on scene learned that a man had entered a classroom on the campus and stated he was a terrorist armed with a bomb.

The campus immediately initiated a shelter-in-place order and the man who made the threat was quickly apprehended.

All classes were canceled for the day and the shelter-in-place order remained in effect while bomb squad teams conducted a precautionary sweep of the campus.

No injuries were reported and details regarding the suspect and his motives were not immediately released.
