Northridge: Two Dead After Pursuit Crash

07.05.2019 | 1:09 AM | NORTHRIDGE – Two people were dead after a car fleeing from police crashed, early Friday morning.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle with mismatched license plates In Northridge around 1:00 AM.

The driver of the vehicle failed to yield to officers, leading them on a brief pursuit before officers called off the pursuit.

Moments after discontinuing the pursuit, officers observed the suspect vehicle lose control before striking several vehicles.

The suspect was fatally ejected and another person inside one of the vehicles struck was fatally wounded.

A second victim was trapped inside the suspect vehicle and had to be extricated before being transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

A fourth victim was also believed to have been injured in the crash however further details regarding their injuries were not immediately available.
