Northridge: House Fire Injures Woman

07.085.2020 | 7:18 PM | LOS ANGELES – A woman was injured and a home was destroyed by a fire that broke out, Wednesday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning in the 8900 block of Wilbur Avenue in the Northridge area around 7:13 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a single story detached home with heavy smoke and fire showing.

Firefighters quickly doused the blaze and learned that a woman suffered burn injuries.

The woman was transported to Northridge Hospital with second degree burns while crews continued to douse the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no other injuries were reported.
