North Hollywood: Suspect Crashes Stolen Vehicle Into Pole During Pursuit

02.15.2020 | 12:55 AM | LOS ANGELES – A suspect was taken into custody after fleeing from officers and crashing into a power pole, early Saturday morning.

Officers attempted to stop a white Mercedes-Benz SUV that had been reported stolen in the North Hollywood area.

The driver of the vehicle failed to yield to officers prompting a high-speed pursuit that ended when the vehicle lost control sand crashed into a power pole in the 10900 block of Oxnard Street.

The impact of the crash caused power lines to come down around the vehicle but both the driver and passenger were quickly taken into custody.

Only minor injuries to the driver and occupant were reported.
