North Hollywood: Pedestrian Killed While Running Across Freeway

02.23.2020 | 9:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car while running across a freeway, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the southbound SR-170 Freeway near Burbank Boulevard in the North Hollywood area around 9:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a pedestrian that had been struck by at least two vehicles.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate the pedestrian was running across lanes from northbound to southbound side when they were struck.

No additional information was immediately available.
