North Hills: Woman Threatening To Jump From Freeway Rescued By Good Samaritans (Caught On Camera)
11.01.2019 | 6:15 PM | LOS ANGELES – A woman threatening to jump from a freeway overpass was rescued by good samaritans as a body-worn camera captured the moment on video, Friday evening.
Authorities responded to reports of a woman threatening to jump from the I-405 Freeway overpass at Devonshire Street in the North Hills area around 6:15 PM.
While units responded to the scene a couple of good samaritans pulled to the side of freeway and attempted to assist.
The female, who was sitting with her legs handing over the street below, screamed at the good samaritans to “stay away.”
At one point the woman climbed back onto the freeway prompting the good samaritans to tackle her to the ground.
Officers responded to the scene and immediately took the woman into custody before transporting her to an area hospital for evaluation.
