Nissan 350Z Driver Killed in Horrific Wrong-Way Crash | Ventura
12.18.2021 | 3:05 AM | VENTURA – CHP Ventura officers responded to a call of a collision involving several vehicles on the northbound 101 Freeway just south of California St.
While units were en route, they were advised that one of the vehicles involved was traveling southbound wrong-way in northbound lanes.
A 29-year-old male driver in a Honda Accord was traveling wrong way southbound when he collided head-on with a Nissan 350Z heading north.
A GMC pickup truck then struck the Nissan again after the initial collision.
The 18-year-old driver in Nissan was reported to have been trapped and was later pronounced dead at the scene by Ventura City Fire crews.
The driver of the Accord was taken to the hosptial with serious injuries and was arrested for felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
Two other patients were transported to the hospital in various conditions.
