Newport Beach: Police Investigating After Car Hits Pedestrian

11.28.2018 | 9:10 PM | NEWPORT BEACH – Police were investigating after a pedestrian was struck on the peninsula, Wednesday night.

Police and fire officials responded to reports of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and 20th Street around 9:10 PM.

Units arriving on scene found an individual with injuries in the street. Firefighter paramedics arrived and quickly transported the pedestrian to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained on scene and was cooperating with officers.

Authorities closed the intersection while they investigated.
