Newhall: One Dead After Violent Crash

06.16.2020 | 9:06 PM | SANTA CLARITA – A woman was killed after a violent crash on a freeway off ramp, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a possible drunk driver in a silver Toyota Rav4 driving recklessly on the northbound SR-14 Freeway in the Newhall area around 9:06 PM.

While responding to the scene units were informed of a crash involving the suspect vehicle at the Newhall Avenue off ramp.

Units arriving on scene discovered that the driver of the Toyota had struck a gold-colored SUV prior to overturning on the off ramp.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the female driver of the Toyota deceased on scene.

Both occupants of the gold-colored SUV were uninjured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
