National City: Firefighters Rescue Drivers Trapped In Flash Flooding

12.06.2018 | 6:27 PM | NATIONAL CITY – First responders were busy rescuing people who became trapped in their cars amid heavy flooding, Thursday evening.

Torrential rains brought flooding to many streets across the southland including along East Plaza Boulevard between the I-805 and Euclid Avenue around 6:30 PM.

Several sections of East Plaza Boulevard were flooded with approximately 4 feet of water.

Despite the flooding vehicles attempted to pass, becoming stuck in the process.

Firefighters had to respond along with police to assist drivers and their passengers to safety.
