Myers Fire Destroys Heavy Machinery Depot

DETAILS:

1. On September 3, 2025, Riverside County Cal Fire responded to a reported vegetation fire near Rose Road and Myers Street in Hemet.
2. The first engine at the scene reported 1 acre of light, flashy fuels with a moderate rate of spread and a potential for 20 acres. One structure was threatened in approximately 20 minutes.
3. Additional resources were requested for the scene, including fixed-wing air support.

4. An Evacuation Order has been issued for South of Fruitvale, East of Eaton, North of Menlo, and West of Cawston.

5. This fire is still active as of 4PM.
6. Fire has destroyed a large heavy machinery depot.
