Multiple Vehicles Catch Fire on Car Carrier Near North Freeway in Houston

At approximately 4:15 p.m. on February 6th, 2026, firefighters with the Houston Fire Department responded to reports of multiple vehicles on fire along the North Freeway service road near 4711 Airline Drive, adjacent to a Fiesta Grocery Store in Houston.
Upon arrival, crews located a car carrier trailer transporting approximately 10 vehicles, with up to four of the vehicles actively burning. Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the flames as heavy smoke rose from the scene.
No injuries were immediately reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage to the remaining vehicles on the trailer were not immediately known.
