Multiple Stuck In Store After Driver Shears Hydrant | Vernon

06.01.2021 | 9:01 PM | VERNON – Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle versus hydrant near Ascot Ave and 41st St.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a hydrant sheared in front of a convenience store.

Due to the fact the hydrant was gushing water in front of the store, approximately 7 people were unable to exit.

Firefighters quickly controlled the water flow within 15 minutes.

The vehicle appears to have fled the scene, although this is unconfirmed.
