Multiple Shots Fired In Allentown, One Hospitalized

One person was hospitalized after gunfire erupted in an Allentown neighborhood on the night of July 4th.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. on July 4, 2026, Allentown Police responded to the 200 block of East Union Street following reports of a shooting.

According to a neighbor, multiple gunshots were heard in the area.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital with a reported gunshot wound to the chest. The victim’s condition was not immediately available, and no additional injuries were reported.

Video from the scene shows multiple shell casings on the ground as officers placed evidence markers throughout the area and investigated the shooting.

No information regarding a suspect or what led to the gunfire was available at the scene.
