Multiple Shot at Sky Harbor Terminal | Arrest Made in Unrelated Incident

According to Phoenix Police:

Officers on patrol in the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport were notified of an altercation in the food court on the third floor of the airport outside of the security checkpoints.

A physical fight involving several individuals known to each other had escalated as one of them produced a handgun and shot several people in the food court.

Three patients were located in the food court.

Two additional victims were located on the 8th floor of the terminal 4 parking garage, one sustaining a gunshot wound and the other was stabbed.

Four people were transported by Phoenix firefighters to local area hospitals in various conditions.

One woman was transported in critical condition.

Three adult males were transported in stable condition.

One woman has been detained in relation to the shooting however her exact involvement is unconfirmed.

Approximately 2 hours after the shooting incident unfolded, a man arrived at the airport with his own gun after hearing reports of the shooting.

The man was not involved with, or related to the initial shooting incident.

The man had received a text notification, informing him about the shooting incident and proceeded to drive to Sky Harbor Airport with a firearm in his possession.

The man got into a physical fight with police before being taken into custody.
