Multiple CHP Officers Injured In Crash During Pursuit

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-16-24 | 11:00 p.m.
LOCATION: North 405 & Ventura Blvd Exit
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. CHP was in pursuit of a stolen black KIA sedan
2. The suspect drove north on the 405 for quite some time
3. The suspect was brake checking CHP Officers during the pursuit
4. The suspects exited Ventura Blvd from the north 405
5. When the suspects exited the freeway, two CHP Officers crashed into each other
6. A CHP charger & Explorer crashed almost head on into each other on the offramp
7. LAFD was requested for several injured CHP officers
8. At least 2 officers were transported in unknown condition to area hospitals
9. The suspects drove to a nearby parking lot and bailed from the vehicle
10. Per a CHP officer on scene, two of the three suspects were taken into custody
11. One of which was the driver of the stolen KIA
12. The KIA was left in reverse and hit two white sedans in the parking lot that they bailed into
13. CHP has the area shut down while officers conduct their investigation
