Multi-Vehicle Crash on NB I-15 in San Diego: Major Injuries Reported

DETAILS:

 

1. A traffic collision involving four vehicles occurred on northbound I-15.
2. A Jeep Gladiator crashed into two other vehicles and went off the roadway, hitting a freeway sign before going up the embankment of the right shoulder.
3. When the Jeep came back down, it hit and severed a freeway light pole and rolled several times.
4. One other vehicle hit the debris in the traffic lanes.
5. Two women were found south of the accident, walking away from the crash.
6. They had left their male friend behind, and there were reports of a second male who was not at the scene.
7. The male who was still at the crash was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.
8. The two females were transported with facial injuries to a local hospital.
9. Firefighters searched the hillside and did not find him.
10. There were a lot of beer cans spread around the Jeep.
11. The CHP is handling the investigation.
12. DUI is suspected.
