Mud Flows Start in Line Fire Burn Scar

DETAILS:
- The Video Shows just some of the mud flows rushing off of the San Bernardino mountains along Highway 330 and the line fire burn scar.
- So far, so good, as the hills have held thus far.
- Mud and debris so far are staying mainly confined to nearby drainages.
- However, there are several locations where mud is rushing off hillsides, pushing mud and debris into the highway.
- Caltrans has been able to keep the lanes clear after several rock slides were reported this morning.
- Highway 330 remains open as the storm continues producing relentless heavy downpour.
- The video shows just a handful of mudflows that we were able to safely access; there were many more around blind turns, and, due to fog and heavy rain, we were unable to access them due to safety.
