MTS Trolley Strikes Ped Causing Major Injuries

DETAILS:
- Residents told us that the male victim was seen attempting to remove the vehicle cover from a parked truck that did not belong to him.
- The male failed.
- They said the male appeared to be intoxicated.
- The male walked off and walked westbound down the MTS Trolley tracks.
- At some point, he either fell or laid down on the eastbound tracks.
- An eastbound MTS Trolley came along and ran over the male.
- The Trolley engineer saw the male, but it was too late to stop.
- When they came to a stop, they called for 1st Responders.
- Firefighters and Trolley employees went down to the male, finding the male still alive.
- They transported the male to a local hospital with a major head injury. (partial scalping).
- The male did smell heavily of alcohol, according to the MTS employees.
- MTS will be handling the investigation.
- The Trolley went back into service after the incident.
