MTA Bus Gets Hijacked, Suspect Crashes Bus Into The Ritz Carlton

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-20-24 | 11:38 p.m.
LOCATION: 900 W Olympic
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. LAPD received reports of a 211 GTA of a MTA bus
2. The bus struck a Black BMW in the intersection of 11th & Grand
3. The bus continued on 11th towards Fig
4. The bus then drove to the area of Olympic & Georgia
5. It crashed into at least 2 other vehicles there before crashing into the Ritz Carlton Hotel
6. The suspect then fled from the bus through the LA live area
7. The driver was taken into custody about an hour and a half later at a nearby location
8. At least two people were injured as a result of the crash
