Motorcyclist Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash On 215

At approximately 1:24 a.m. on April 20, 2026, officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the southbound 215 Freeway just north of University Avenue in Riverside.

Investigators determined the incident began as a hit-and-run involving a pickup truck and a semi-tractor trailer, which left vehicles disabled and blocking multiple lanes of traffic.

A second crash then occurred in the same area involving a Mercedes-Benz SUV and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Authorities say the SUV took evasive action to avoid the earlier crash, resulting in a collision with the motorcycle.

The rider was ejected after being redirected into the center median and was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are asking any witnesses to come forward.
