Motorcyclist Killed In Houston Crash On His 62nd Birthday

A 62-year-old motorcyclist was killed on his birthday following a collision with a Toyota Camry Wednesday night in Houston, with investigators looking into whether the car’s driver may have been impaired.
Houston police responded around 10:58 p.m. on October 7, 2025, to the 8500 block of West Montgomery Road following reports of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a white Toyota Camry.
According to preliminary information, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on West Montgomery Road when the Toyota Camry, driven by a 31-year-old, made a left turn and collided with the motorcycle.
The impact ejected the motorcyclist from his bike. Houston Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the 62-year-old man deceased at the scene.
Investigators confirmed that October 7 was also the victim’s birthday, making the fatal collision particularly tragic.
The 31-year-old driver of the Toyota Camry was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
According to Houston police, investigators were examining the possibility that the Camry’s driver was impaired at the time of the crash. However, impairment had not been confirmed, and investigators were still working to determine fault.
