Motorcyclist Killed in Dark Construction Zone Crash in Houston

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10-31-25 | ~ 9:00 p.m.
LOCATION: 2700 FM 1960 E @ Moonshine Hill
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

  1. Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 2 deputies responded to a motorcycle crash in a construction zone.

  2. Deputies arrived and found a male lying in the roadway.

  3. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the male deceased from his injuries.

  4. The roadway was extremely dark. Speed and lighting are believed to be factors in the crash.

  5. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

  6. An autopsy will be conducted to determine if intoxication played a role.

  7. The name of the individual is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

  9. Note: During the investigation another vehicle went around the road block heading the wrong way. Smoke was coming out of the vehicle when deputies opened the door and the driver was detained.
