Motorcyclist Killed After High-Speed Crash in Perris

At approximately 5:26 p.m. on February 5th, 2026, officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Placentia Avenue and Redlands Avenue in the city of Perris.
According to CHP, a white Honda Superhawk motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Placentia Avenue at a high rate of speed when it collided with the left side of a gold Honda Accord that was traveling northbound on Redlands Avenue. The motorcycle and rider came to rest in the middle of the intersection. The rider was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
In a separate statement, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that deputies had attempted a traffic enforcement stop on the motorcyclist earlier in the area of Nuevo Road and Frontage Road. The rider failed to yield and fled at a high rate of speed. Deputies later lost sight of the motorcycle and subsequently located the rider after the collision at Placentia Avenue and Redlands Avenue.
Medical aid was rendered until the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The crash remained under investigation by the Riverside Area CHP office.
