Motorcyclist Dead After Bar Patron Strikes Him & Flees

Around 2:30am, HPD responded for a reported motorcycle crash in the 1100 Blk. of the North Sam Houston Parkway West. Upon arrival, they found a motorcyclist in his 20s down in the roadway and he was declared deceased by EMS. Shortly thereafter, authorities were notified of a fully engulfed vehicle at a gas station nearby and responded out to that location. Per investigators, the SUV had just left a bar in the area when it struck the motorcyclist. The vehicle fled and ended up at the gas station, where it caught fire. The driver fled the scene and HPD is trying to confirm his identity.
