Motorcyclist Badly Injured After Sliding On Oil Spill

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 10.30.31 | 6 PM
LOCATION: Highway 18 @ MM 36 Near Snow Valley
AREA/CITY: Running Springs
DETAILS:

  1. A motorcyclist was badly injured after loosing control and crash on highway 18.
  2. The call came in at around 6pm.
  3. As firefighters arrived on scene they found a single male laying on his back not moving on a blind turn on highway 18 with his motorcycle about 50 ft down hill from him.
  4. paramedics provided aid at the scene and had to move the rider onto a back board to safely move him to the gurney for ambulance transport.
  5. In the location of the crashed motorcycle, CHP officers found a large splatter of oil in the middle of the road and found that the oil splatter continued down the highway.
  6. As seen in the video, significant oil was found all along the tires of the motorcycle.
  7. The accident cause traffic to be shut down for about 45 minutes.
  8. The condition of the riders is unknown.
