Motorcyclist and Sedan Driver Both Killed in Highspeed Crash

DETAILS:

1. On June 26th, 2024, at about 10:54 PM, County Fire and AMR responded to a reported traffic collision with extrication at Sierra Ave and Valley Blvd in the City of Fontana.
2. County Fire arrived and located a motorcycle and sedan with major damage.
3. The driver of the sedan was trapped inside the vehicle.
4. Both the Motorcyclist and the driver of the sedan were pronounced deceased at the scene.
5. All Northbound traffic on Sierra Ave and East and Westbound lanes are closed on Valley Blvd.
6. It is believed that speed was a major factor in this collision as parts of the motorcycle were scattered across the roadway, and the sedan came to a stop on the curb by an Arco.
7. Fontana PD’s “MAIT” (Major Accident Investigation Team) is at the scene investigating this double fatal crash.
8. No further information was provided at the scene.
