Moreno Valley: Two Shot At Lake Perris State Recreation Area

08.22.2020 | 3:45 PM | MORENO VALLEY – Two men were shot at Lake Perris State Recreation Area and one was hospitalized in critical condition, Saturday evening.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down at the Lake Perris State Recreation Area around 3:45 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male in a restroom suffering from a gunshot wound.

Firefighter paramedics rushed the victim to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

A second man arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound as well and police believe he may have also been involved in the initial shooting incident.

Witnesses reported that an altercation broke out just prior to the shooting but it was unclear what prompted the fight.

Several individuals were detained while police investigation.
