Moreno Valley: Suspect Flees After Fatally Shooting Bail Bondsman

12.03.2019 | 7:10 PM | MORENO VALLEY – A suspect was on the run after fatally shooting a bail bondsman and then jumping from a third-story hotel room as he fled, Tuesday night.
The incident was first reported as an assault with a deadly weapon at the Hotel XOLA located in the 24600 block of Sunnymead Boulevard around 7:10 PM.
Deputies arriving on scene located a 42-year-old man, later identified as James Black of Lake Elsinore, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Firefighter paramedics transported Black to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Black was reportedly a bail bondsman but it was unclear if he was engaged in fugitive recovery at the time of the shooting.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Chad James Green of Riverside, reportedly fled from the incident by jumping from a window and fleeing in an awaiting vehicle driven by an accomplice.
Green is described as a male white, 6′ 2″ tall, weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and multiple tattoos. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect vehicle was described only as a white seda, possibly a Toyota Corolla or Camry.
It was unclear if Green was injured in the incident.
An intensive investigation into the incident and search for Green is underway.
