Monterey Park: Head-On Crash Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

02.09.2020 | 2:54 PM | MONTEREY PARK – A head-on crash left one person dead and another hospitalized, Sunday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two vehicles on Floral Drive just east of Valley Vista Drive near East Los Angeles College campus around 2:54 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a head-on crash involving a white Honda sedan and a blue Ford sedan with major damage.

One person was trapped and freed by firefighters before being transported to an area hospital within 20 minutes.

The other driver was pronounced deceased on scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

All directions of Floral Drive remain closed between Hillside and Crest Vista drives while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
