Montebello: Road Rage Shooting Injures Bystander

09.20.2019 | 10:00 PM | MONTEBELLO – An innocent bystander was struck by gunfire amid a road rage shooting, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a person down to the front of the Best Star Inn located in the 7500 block of Telegraph Road around 10:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene learned a man was standing in front of the hotel when she was struck by stray gunfire from a suspected road rage shooting.

A bystander transported the man to PIH Whittier in her own vehicle but firefighters later had to transfer the man from that hospital to St. Francis Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries.

Neither vehicle involved in the suspected road rage incident were immediately located.

An investigation is ongoing.
