Montclair: Suspected DUI Crash Kills Two, Injures Two Others

02.08.2020 | 10:30 PM | MONTCLAIR – Two people were dead after a suspected DUI crash that also seriously injured a five-year-old child and 32-year-old man, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Ramona Avenue and Howard Street around 10:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a two vehicles with extensive damage and four patients.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced two victims deceased on scene and treated two others on scene before transporting them to an area hospital.

One of the two transported was reportedly a five-year-old child who was in serious condition. The second, reportedly the driver of one of the vehicles that ran a stop sign, was a 32-year-old man from Garden Grove.

Officers are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash but believe drugs or alcohol may have played a role.
