Mobility Scooter Rider Struck in Hit & Run

At approximately 2:00am on February 22nd, 2026, Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a reported traffic collision involving a pedestrian near Slauson Avenue and Denver Avenue in South Los Angeles.

Upon arrival, officers located a damaged mobility scooter in the roadway. The male victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.

Authorities were searching for a black GMC Tahoe or Suburban believed to have front-end damage in connection with the incident.
