Firefighters transported one patient with minor burns after extinguishing a fast-moving fire in a mobile home park early this morning.
Fire crews from Phoenix and Tolleson were dispatched around 4 am this morning for reports of a fire in a mobile home in 65th Ave and Van Buren. On arrival, firefighters were met with heavy fire and smoke coming from a single occupancy, extending to a nearby vehicle and threatening to extend to multiple neighboring units. Hose lines were quickly deployed to aggressively attack the fire and search for victims. Crews extinguished the main body of fire, obtained all clears on the threatened occupancies, and prevented any extension to the nearby units. Two people will be displaced as a result of the fire. The Community Assistance Program is on the scene assisting with their needs. Fire investigators are working to determine a cause. No firefighter injuries were reported.
