Mission Vaqueros Ride Into Uptown Houston for Go Texan Day

On February 27th, 2026, the Mission Vaqueros Trail Ride paraded down Post Oak Boulevard in Uptown Houston as they entered the final 206-mile stretch of their 30th annual trek to the city.

Originating in Goliad, Texas, the all-Hispanic Mission Vaqueros group is comprised of approximately 200 riders and more than 10 wagons, including participants traveling from Monterrey, Mexico. Dressed in traditional Western wear, the riders made their way through Uptown Houston on Go Texan Day before continuing toward Memorial Park, where they planned to unite with other trail riders arriving for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo festivities.

The trail ride proceeded northbound along Post Oak Boulevard toward the West Loop as spectators gathered along the east side of the boulevard between San Felipe and Westheimer for optimal viewing.
