Mission Hills: Suspected Street Racing Crash Kills One, Injures Another

08.06.2019 | 9:56 PM | LOS ANGELES – A suspected street racing crash left one person dead and another hospitalized, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with one person trapped in the 10100 block of Woodman Avenue in the Mission Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles around 9:56 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a white coupe that had collided with a parked car trapping the male driver and injuring a female passenger.

Firefighter paramedics treated the female passenger on scene while working to free the driver from the wreckage.

Despite their efforts, the male driver was pronounced deceased on scene.

Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle that crashed racing another car just seconds before the crash.

The scene of the collision was closed off while authorities pieced together the events leading to the deadly incident.
