Mission Hills: Pursuit Crash Knocks Suspected DUI Driver Unconscious

10.20.2019 | 4:00 AM | LOS ANGELES – A suspected DUI driver who fled from police was knocked unconscious after crashing into a tree, early Sunday morning.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Mission Division attempted to stop a suspected DUI driver in a silver sedan around 3:45 AM.

The driver of the vehicle failed to yield to officers and sped off initiating a brief pursuit.

The chase came to an end when the suspected DUI driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree near the intersection of Chatsworth Street and Arleta Avenue around 4:00 AM.

The impact of the crash knocked the driver unconscious and officers performed first aid until paramedics arrived on scene.

Firefighter paramedics treated the suspected DUI driver on scene before transporting him to an area hospital in unknown condition.
