Mission Hills: Fireworks Ignite Backyard Fire
07.04.2020 | 9:20 PM | LOS ANGELES – The backyard of a home and several vehicles were destroyed by a fire reportedly caused by fireworks, Saturday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning in the 14600 block of West Brand Boulevard, near Arleta Avenue, in the Mission Hills area around 9:20 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a large fire spreading throughout the backyard of a home.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze but flames had already caused substantial damage and the destruction of several vehicles.
A homeowner who was working to stop the spread of the fire using a garden hose said the flames were sparked by fireworks.
No injuries were reported.
