Minivan Crashes Into Parked Semi-Trailer, Killing Two In Rialto

Two people were killed and two others hospitalized after a minivan slammed into the back of a parked semi-truck on the 210 Freeway in Rialto early Sunday morning.

On October 25, 2026, at approximately 2:37 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers and Rialto firefighters responded to a traffic collision requiring extrication on the eastbound 210 Freeway, west of Riverside Avenue.

Arriving officers discovered a minivan wedged underneath the rear of a semi-truck trailer that was parked along the side of the freeway.

The minivan sustained extensive front-end damage. The driver and front passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two additional occupants were transported to local hospitals with injuries of unknown severity.

All freeway lanes were temporarily stopped for approximately 45 minutes, and a SigAlert was issued while emergency crews worked at the scene.

The coroner was requested, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
