Midway City: SWAT Officers Respond To Barricaded Man
12.17.2018 | 7:40 PM | MIDWAY CITY – A man who claimed he had a gun was barricaded inside an apartment after a domestic dispute, Monday night.
Authorities responded to the reported domestic dispute in the 15000 block of Pacific Street around 7:40 PM.
Deputies arriving on scene learned that a man was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman inside an apartment.
When deputies tried to contact the man he barricaded himself inside an apartment and claimed he had a gun prompting an hours-long standoff.
For hours deputies attempted to convince the man to surrender.
The man refused and SWAT officials responded to the scene to takeover the situation.
As of 1:00 AM the scene was still active and the man had not surrendered.
Area surrounding the standoff were closed in the interest of safety while the incident persisted.
