Mercedes Driver Killed After Striking Hydrant & Flying Off Road | Camarillo

12.18.2021 | 12:55 AM | CAMARILLO – Ventura County Fire and Sheriff personnel responded to a call of a vehicle versus a hydrant with a person trapped on Las Posas Rd just west of Lewis Rd.

When first responders arrived on scene, they found that a Mercedes-Benz CLA250 had flown off the road and had landed in a picnic area of a nearby business while shearing hydrant in the process.

The solo occupant in the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Speed may have been a factor in the collision.
