Men Arrested Wearing Stolen SDSO Uniforms & Gear | San Diego
11.02.2022 | 2:30 AM | SAN DIEGO – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a green Mercedes with Arizona plates covered in fake bullet hole stickers for an equipment violation (covered license plate).
The driver was wearing a ballistic vest and SD Sheriff’s Jacket with an employee’s name on it.
The driver and passenger were detained and are now under arrest.
Upon searching the car, a replica firearm, additional Sheriff’s Department uniform shirts, and 2-3 oz. of meth (narcotics} and paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.
SDPD is working with the SDSO to determine when & where the gear was stolen.
UPDATE from SDSO:
The uniforms and gear were stolen out of a deputy’s storage facility and were old uniforms and gear.
