MC Rider Killed in High-Speed Ejection Crash, Houston, TX

 

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-16-26 | ~1 a.m.
LOCATION: 6900 Memorial Dr. (just east of the tunnels)
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

  1. Officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash.
  2. Officers found a motorcycle crash that resulted in a fatality.
  3. Houston Fire Department personnel attempted lifesaving measures but were unsuccessful.
  4. The motorcycle rider and his coworkers had been leaving a nearby Topgolf.
  5. The group pulled up to a nearby park.
  6. The rider was going to travel through the tunnels and complete a loop at a high rate of speed to amplify the sound of the engine.
  7. The rider at one point lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected.
  8. Witness statements from friends indicated alcohol could have been involved.
  9. The rider was a 21-year-old Hispanic man.
  10. He was wearing a helmet and full protective gear.
  11. The rider’s next of kin arrived at the scene and was notified.
  12. Note: Motorcycle was in ditch area – motorcycle behind ambulance does not belong to the rider that was killed.
