Massive Tree Falls & Crushes Honda Accord
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4-10-23, 9:19 p.m.
LOCATION: 9600 South Mills Ave
CITY: Unincorporated Whittier
DETAILS:
- California Highway Patrol, Santé Fe Springs and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a reported tree that fell and landed on parked vehicles.
- When the first responding units arrived, they found a massive tree that had uprooted and fell and landed on a parked car.
- The car was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.
- Southern California Edison is on scene because when the tree fell it took out some power lines and there are at least 4 homes that do not have power at this time.
- Some of the branches from the tree hit a home but caused minor damage.
- At this time, CHP is working to find out who will be responding to start removing the tree.
