Massive Counterfeit Bust Unfolds In Downtown LA

At approximately 5:00 a.m. on May 14, 2026, deputies and investigators swarmed a commercial building near 6th Street and Main Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Authorities made entry into the building, which appeared to be packed floor-to-ceiling with boxes as investigators searched the property.

Throughout the morning, deputies were seen cutting open roll-up gates, bringing in large box trucks, and loading hundreds of boxes believed to be connected to a possible counterfeit high-end jewelry operation.

Officials at the scene declined to comment on the exact nature of the investigation or what was inside the boxes, though speculation at the scene included possible counterfeit merchandise, fireworks, or narcotics.

Main Street was shut down between 5th and 6th Streets as the investigation continued.
